Rabelat Entrepreneurship Centre for Animal
Husbandry is particularly designed to engage with professionalizing the animal
husbandry sector in business expansion within livestock breeding,
entrepreneurship, technological developments, social developments within the
sector, and sustainability.
The centre will provide the platform for trainees to select, breed,
care-for, process and market livestock and small farm animals. The training
programme will focus on developmental courses that seek to explore industry-based
potential.
The first phase of the centre will be located on a 30-hectare land in Lakanla village, Bode Saadu, Moro Local Government Area, Kwara State. Bode Saadu is about 40km away from Ilorin town. The people are predominantly Yoruba with an appreciable number of Hausas, Fulanis and Bornu settlers who are mostly traders and cattle rearers called Bororo.
